The Global EdTech Startups Awards (GESAwards) is the largest edtech competition and community in the world, aimed at finding the most promising edtech startups from all corners of the world. The initiative is a joint venture between partners from the six continents and has built a community of over 6,000 edtech startups from more than 120 countries. There were over 1,150 entrants in the 2021 competition.

GESAwards provides the opportunity for startups to showcase their products to a global audience, connect and build significant partnerships, facilitate business opportunities as well as compete to be crowned the best Edtech Startup of the year. GESAwards also helps build local edtech ecosystems and facilitates the flow of edtech investment into alternative markets.

The finalists in each track will be interviewed and assessed by a GESAward partner, and the winners will attend the GESAwards Final event in London (UK) in January 2022, and be invited to attend a two-day edtech startup bootcamp.

Persona Education has been selected as a finalist in 'The New Age Learners' track by GESAward partner The Center for Educational Technology (CET), based in Israel. CET will interview and assess Persona Education and its online social-emotional learning platform Persona Life Skills, which enables independent learning, in addition to teacher facilitated and blended learning.

“We are very pleased and privileged to be selected as a GESAwards finalist by The Center for Educational Technology. We have designed our online learning platform Persona Life Skills to be flexible in delivery, with many modules available for independent learning, each one targeting development of an individual social-emotional skill. So this recognition is a welcome validation of our approach.” said Pete Read, CEO & Founder of Persona Education.
