Engaging learning built around a scientifically proven framework.
Wrapped in an engaging learning metaphor of exploring an archipelago of islands representing different life challenges, our pedagogy is rooted in behavioural science research. The pedagogy drives the technology, not vice versa.
What makes Persona Life Skills really unique is the ‘Self/Friends’ personality insights framework at its heart, guiding students to adapt to life challenges, build productive relationships, make informed decisions, and achieve positive outcomes.
Our wellbeing and employability education platform is continually developing, with input from school inspectors, headteachers, pastoral leads, careers leads, teachers and pupils.

Our Theory of Change:
The science behind Persona
A practical and memorable thinking framework
Many personality insight systems have been developed over the years – going back as far as Hippocrates around 400 BC! Many of the most robust systems – including Hippocrates’ – are based on four sets of related characteristics, which influence how we think, communicate and behave.
At Persona we believe in keeping things practical. So our thinking framework is built around four descriptive, positive and memorable styles. The framework, algorithm and insights are all rooted in large scale empirical research by behavioural scientists, and were developed with UK government R&D grant funding specifically for young people.

Persona personality styles
The four Persona styles are derived from observing two fundamental aspects of human behaviour that affect your thinking, communication and behaviour: Assertiveness (Questions <> Statements) and Responsiveness (People <> Tasks).
Our clever algorithm combines these observations to provide a reliable and detailed insight into anyone’s unique mix of personality styles at that point in their life, in a certain context: Social, Learning or Work. We call this their Persona.
Your Persona is about 50% determined by your genes, and 50% by external factors such as family, school, friends and experiences. It is very likely to change as you navigate your life journey, especially when you are young.
The best part is, you can learn to adapt your thinking, communication and behaviour in different situations, leading to improved social-emotional skills, relationships and decision-making, which in turn boosts wellbeing and employability.
