A structured social-emotional skills framework to help students navigate their life journey.

With Pearson, we defined 22 social-emotional Life Skills, across six Skillsets and three Levels. These skills empower young people to make better decisions and achieve more positive outcomes in life challenges. Our age-appropriate curriculum builds pupils’ Life Skills from age 13, boosting wellbeing, academic success and employability.

The Persona Life Skills map to PSHE Association, UK Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) topics, Ofsted, Independent Schools Inspectorate, CASEL, National Education Policy (India), Cambridge iGCSE, IB Learner Profile, British Schools Overseas, Skills Builder, VIA Character, GL Assessment, Gatsby, Unicef and other benchmarks.

Three scaffolded learning levels:

  • LEVEL 1: START

Students gain a basic understanding of the Life Skill across different contexts, learn to recognise it and see its benefits.

  • LEVEL 2: APPLY

Students learn how to apply the Life Skill in relevant scenarios, and consider – through their Persona Insights – how their own and others’ mix of personality styles, and their thinking, communication and behaviour, can affect this.

  • LEVEL 3: CHALLENGE

Students challenge themselves to become more adaptable, considering the needs and preferences of others as well as themselves – through their Persona Adaptability – and working on their growth areas to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
