How it works
Pearson and Persona Education have combined with Credly to recognise 22 Life Skills across six Skillsets for students using the Persona Life Skills online learning platform.
In Persona Life Skills each module focuses on one Life Skill. You can choose to take all the Start level (one star) modules first, or dive deeper into certain skills, with Apply (two star) and Challenge (three star) level modules.
Earn digital badges by completing modules. There are 66 Life Skills badges available. When you complete all modules within a Skillset level, you will receive one of the 18 Skillset Award badges.
Credly emails you links to view, verify and download your badges, and share with your teacher, next stage education or potential employers. You can also post to social media, direct from Credly.
Receiving and sharing your badges
- How do I get started with Credly?
The first time you earn a Credly badge, you will receive an email from admin@credly.com, on the email you use to sign in to Persona Life Skills. You’ll be asked to create your Credly account and confirm your email.
- How do I receive my badges?
Every time you earn a Credly badge, you will receive an email from admin@credly.com. Click on the ‘Accept your badge’ button in the email. Or sign in to Credly and accept your badge there. Then share your new badge!
- Where can I share Credly badges?
Sharing your badges is a way to tell people about your skills and abilities. Using Credly’s sharing options, you can share your badge directly to LinkedIn, X.com and Facebook, email to someone, or get a sharing link. You can even download a PDF certificate to print or email.
- How do I share my badges?
Log into your account at www.credly.com. Select the badge you want to share. Click the ‘Share’ button and you will see the ‘Share your badge’ screen, where you will find links to connect to social media and share, email or download your badge.
‘Start’ level digital badges
One star: To earn one star Start level Life Skills badges and Skillset Awards, you gain a basic understanding of the Life Skill, learn to recognise it and see its benefits.
‘Apply’ level digital badges
Two stars: To earn two star Apply level Life Skills badges and Skillset Awards, you learn how to apply the Life Skill in relevant scenarios, and consider how your own and others’ mix of personality styles affects this.
‘Challenge’ level digital badges
Three stars: To earn three star Challenge level Life Skills badges and Skillset Awards, you develop the Life Skill by challenging yourself to become more adaptable, considering the needs and preferences of others, to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
